This single storey 85m2 private residential dwelling was designed to utilise the site for views, sun and existing landscaping, and to provide a modern minimalist look with family living in mind.
The house concept was the clients idea proposing a combination of 2 monopitch opposing wings with an entrance link, creating purpose made zones with a minimalist and inviting feel with views and outdoor living spaces to make the most of views and sun.
The idea was to use grooved plywood panels with horizontal joints to tie in roof and opening lines and using monopitch roof with no overhangs to give a clean architectural look.
Using these features has created a clever and unique design that works well with the existing landscaping and surroundings.
