This existing 1970s 80m2 private residential house alteration was designed to give a modern lift to a dated exterior, add greater size with rooms below, while maintaining existing rooflines and upper floor room locations
The alteration concept lead to maintaining the existing house perimeter, creating additional rooms between the existing sub-floor structure below so the main area could be maintained.
The idea was to remove the existing cladding and introduce a modern alternative to help the period look but still maintain a bach feel
The inclusion of a large external deck to the upper floor, elimination of the existing parapet, vertical cladding from upper to lower levels and new aluminium window and door joinery have really topped off the design giving this small bach a modern feel.
